Andreas Mader studies at the “Conservatorium van Amsterdam” in the class of Arno Bornkamp, where he also received his bachelor's degree „cum laude“. Additionally, he had the possibility to study with Claude Delangle at the CNSM de Paris with the Erasmus Programme. He has received tutorship by Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Sven Arne Tepl and Walter van Hauwe.

His chamber music duo Duo Mader/Papandreopoulos released their first CD “Lilith & Lulu”: a double portrait of the femmes fatales in 2019. They are one of the winners of the Dutch Classical Talent Tour 19/20, prize-winners at the 1st Birmingham International Piano Chamber Music Festival and won the “Oorkaanprijs 2018” for their project “Lilith & Lulu”.  They have participated in festivals like Grachtenfestival (NL), Festival Klangbasel (CH) and Festival Jong Talent Schiermonnikoog.

As soloist he has performed with the the Kracow Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden, the Philharmonie Südwestfalen, the chamber orchestra “Innstrumenti” and the Ensemble “Windkraft – Kapelle für neue Musik”

Andreas Mader is prizewinner of the International AEOLUS-Competition in Düsseldorf and the Andorra International Saxophone Competition. Most recently, he won the 1st prize at the Bertold Hummel-Competition in Würzburg.

Growing up in Jochberg – Tyrol and got in touch with music from early childhood on. When he was 8 years old he started to get saxophone lessons at the music school of Kitzbühel. Later he attended the preliminary study at the Conservatory Tyrol, where the base for his artistic career was laid.
